Community Design Commitee (CDC)
The PHCA Protective Covenants (CC&Rs) allow for a Community Design Committee dedicated to the design review of each property within the Association. The intent of the review process is to enhance Princeville’s unique character and preserve homeowner equity.
The CDC:

Reviews and acts upon proposals or plans submitted pursuant to Article III of the PHCA Protective Covenants.

Recommends architectural rules for adoption, amendment, or repeal for approval by the PHCA Board.

Performs other duties from time to time as delegated to it by the Protective Covenants.

Events Committee
The Community Events Committee fosters the sense of community in Princeville and strengthens connections between members, residents, and guests by hosting events throughout the year. Subcommittees focus on specific programs, including the annual Fine Arts Exhibit, seasonal celebrations, and the monthly Princeville Mo‘olelo speaker series.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee provides financial oversight for the Association. The committee:

Reviews PHCA financial statements, budgets, and investment reports.

Assists in preparing the annual operating budget for Board approval.

Evaluates financial policies, reserves, and long-term planning to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Members with backgrounds or interest in accounting, budgeting, or financial management are encouraged to participate.
Infrastructure Committee
The Infrastructure Committee focuses on the maintenance, improvement, and long-term planning of Princeville’s roads, drainage, signage, landscaping, and other community assets. The committee works closely with the General Manager and Board to identify needs, review proposals, and recommend priorities for repair and capital projects.

Communications Committee
The Communications Committee ensures that PHCA members stay informed and engaged. The committee helps craft messaging for newsletters, website content, community notices, and other outreach platforms. Its goal is to promote transparency, encourage participation, and strengthen the connection between residents and the Association.
Writers, designers, and anyone passionate about clear communication are invited to join.
Stewardship and Conservation Committee
The Stewardship and Conservation Committee is dedicated to protecting and enhancing Princeville’s natural beauty. Its focus includes sustainability initiatives, native landscaping, wildlife protection, and community education about environmental stewardship.
If you care deeply about preserving Kaua‘i’s land, wildlife, and resources for future generations, this committee offers meaningful ways to get involved.
Nominating Committee
Required by the PHCA Bylaws, the Nominating Committee identifies and evaluates candidates for election to the PHCA Board of Directors. The committee ensures a fair and transparent nomination process and encourages qualified members to participate in community leadership.
Serving on this committee is an opportunity to help shape the future leadership of Princeville.
