  • Homeowner Golf Discount: PHCA homeowners receive discounted green fees with a Golf ID Card available from the PHCA office for $25 (credit cards accepted).
The homeowner’s name must appear on the recorded deed.

Pets & Wildlife

Princeville is both a pet-friendly community and a sanctuary for native wildlife. As the only residential community in the world where Laysan albatross nest, and home to all five species of native Hawaiian wetland birds, stewardship is part of living here.

For Pet Owners:

  • Dogs must remain on leash when off your property.

  • For off-leash play, visit the North Shore Dog Park in Kīlauea. It is fenced and has areas for large and small dogs.

  • Cats should be kept indoors, especially at night. Outdoor cats must be microchipped and wear collars.

Wildlife Protection:
Native birds like the Nēnē (Hawaiian goose) and ʻAʻo (Newell’s shearwater) are protected under state and federal law.
Trapping for feral cats may occur seasonally to safeguard nesting chicks. PHCA complies with County and State wildlife protection efforts — pets will not be targeted, but please help by keeping cats indoors and not feeding feral animals.

“Reducing the prevalence of feral cats is critical to [the birds’] survival… it is our moral responsibility to take action.”
— Luke Evslin, Former County of Kauaʻi Councilmember
